Privacy Policy (English)

The TICKER ("we") is a Thai-language news digest published at theticker.co and on our official Facebook and X accounts. This policy describes what data we process, how we use it, and the rights you hold.

Website visitors

This website is static. It sets no cookies, has no accounts, and runs no tracking scripts. Our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) may keep standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention; we do not use them to identify visitors.

We count page views on our own servers, not in your browser. For each request we record only the page, the kind of response, whether the visitor was a person, a search crawler or an AI crawler, the country, the host of the site that linked here, and the response status. We record no cookie, no IP address, no device identifier, and nothing that links one visit to another, so these counts cannot identify you.

Public posts

To produce our coverage we process public posts from the X platform through its official API — post text, account names, and engagement counts — in order to select stories, summarize them in Thai, and credit the source on every published item. We do not collect personal data beyond what appears in those public posts.

We also read the pictures and videos attached to a post, which an AI model describes in a few words (for a video we may read only part of it), and the public web pages a post links to, which a program named TheTICKERBot opens and which follows each site's robots.txt, so that our summary matches what the source says. We do not keep the pictures, videos or pages themselves, only the short descriptions and opening excerpts read from them, and we delete these along with the post when X tells us it was deleted.

If you write to us, we keep your address and message only to reply. We do not share or sell this information.

Your rights

Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA) you may request access, correction, or deletion of data concerning you at the address below. Requests to remove an item that references your post are handled within 24 hours.
